Itinerary

Day 1: Bussolengo

Individual arrival at the hotel in Bussolengo, 15 km far from Verona, lying betwen Garda lake and the typical rolling hills edged with vineyards.

Day 2: tour circolare Verona

(approx. 40 km)

Bussolengo is a lovely city o lcated directly on the Adige River in the midst of the hilly landscape of the Venetian Pre-Alps. On the first stage you follow the course of the river to Verona in the romantic, elegant and flourishing city of Romeo & Juliet. Verona‘s old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 and is a place full of history, culture, architecture and joie de vivre. Over the hills of the southern Lake Garda region you cycle back to Bussolengo via Sommacampagna.

Day 3: Bussolengo - Salò

(approx. 55 km, + 375 m.)

The second stage takes you to the shores of Lake Garda near Peschiera. Enjoy other lively stops along the route such as Desenzano, Padenghe and Moniga. The day‘s destination is Salò, situated in a bay on the west side of Lake Garda; typical for Salò are the branching streets and alleys and especially the famous „Lungolago“. Get yourself an ice cream in one of the many gelaterias and take a leisurely stroll along the lakeside promenade.

Day 4: Salò – Limone sul Garda

(approx. 30 km)

For the first kilometres to Gargnano you leisurely cycle along the water; from there you take the ferry (ticket included) directly to Limone, known not only for its lemon groves but also for the delicate flavoured olive oil and the longevity of its inhabitants. You will then continue along the most spectacular cycle path in Europe which, for a new built section, floats partially free above the lake, 50 meters above the water.

Day 5: Limone – Malcesine

(approx. 20 - 60 km)

Today starts following the „most spectacular cycle path in Europe“. On a section of several kilometres, the newly opened cycle path floats partially free above the lake - 50 m above the water. You then pass the two northernmost towns on Lake Garda, Riva del Garda and Torbole. The northern Lake Garda region is particularly popular with water sports enthusiasts, climbers and cyclists. On the eastern side of the lake, you finally reach Malcesine at the foot of Monte Baldo. Shortcut option by boat across the lake. (Ticket for 1 boat trip on this day this day incl.)

Day 6: Malcesine: Monte Baldo - Garda

(approx. 45 km)

Today‘s stage is a clear contrast to the rest of the tour; by cable car/transfer (ticket included) you arrive at the starting point of your ride, at almost 1,700 m on the ridge of Monte Baldo. A wonderfully situated mountain road with breathtaking views then leads you back downhill to more „Mediterranean“ regions, a really pleasant tour. The stage destination is the town of Garda, where you return from the quiet hinterland to the lively shore.

Day 7: Garda - Bussolengo

(approx. 20 - 50 km)

From Garda you cycle along the lake to Bardolino and on to Lazise. Be sure to stop for a break to eat in one of the many restaurants on the waterfront or wander through the alleys of the towns of Bardolino and Lazise. Finally, head through the hilly hinterland to Bussolengo.

Day 8: Bussolengo

Individual departure from Bussolengo or possibility to extend your stay at Lake Garda.
