FunActive Tours Sustainability Policy

Corporate commitment and compliance

The management of FunActive Tours has adopted a Sustainability Policy defining the company’s environmental, social and organisational commitments.

We use the Travelife system as a tool to assess and monitor our practices and areas for improvement.

We are committed to complying with the regulations applicable to our activities and to integrating principles relating to human rights, working conditions, environmental protection and the prevention of corruption and discrimination into our corporate management, as also established in our Code of Ethics.

Human rights and human resources

FunActive Tours is committed to ensuring equal professional opportunities and a safe and respectful working environment, while combating all forms of discrimination.

In our cooperation with partners and suppliers, we also take into account respect for human rights, working conditions and the principles set out in our Code of Ethics.

Internal environmental management

In our office activities, we adopt measures aimed at managing resources and waste responsibly.

These include waste separation, the progressive digitalisation of travel documentation, and the possibility for some employees to carry out part of their work remotely.

We periodically monitor these practices as part of the Travelife process to identify further opportunities for improvement.

Suppliers and partners

FunActive Tours works with numerous suppliers and partners based in the destinations covered by our itineraries.

When selecting and managing these partnerships, we consider, among other aspects, working conditions, respect for human rights, environmental management and the presence of recognised and verifiable certifications.

Where available, we value certifications issued under recognised systems, verifying their actual applicability to each individual partner.

Transport and accommodation

When designing our trips, we assess the available transport options and, where compatible with the itinerary and the services available at the destination, also consider public transport and collective transport connections.

When working with accommodation providers, we take into account criteria relating to environmental management, working conditions and their relationship with the local area.

Any specific features or certifications of individual accommodation providers are communicated only when they can be verified.

Excursions and activities

Our programmes mainly include walking and cycling activities.

When designing our itineraries, we take into account the natural and cultural characteristics of the destinations and provide travellers with useful information to help them experience the places they visit responsibly.

We also work with local guides and partners to carry out the activities included in our programmes.

Destinations and local communities

When developing our itineraries, we work with operators based in the destinations and also include lesser-known places where they are consistent with the route and the travel experience being offered.

Our aim is to provide our guests with direct contact with the local area and to integrate services provided by local businesses into our programmes.

Communication and customer protection

We are committed to providing clear, verifiable and up-to-date information about the characteristics of our services and the company’s environmental and social initiatives.

Claims relating to environmental characteristics, certifications or specific measures adopted must refer to identifiable and documentable elements.

The protection of personal data and transparency of the information provided to customers form an integral part of our corporate procedures.

Effective Date and Review

“Effective from 1 October 2023 and to be reviewed by 31 December 2028.”
