During this round trip through South Tyrol along well-developed cycling paths, you will get to know everything that makes this small region so unique and special: pristine nature with rushing rivers, legendary mountains, and idyllic lakes, living customs, and cultivated culture in a land whose history has left many traces. The cycling tour takes you on paths from the eastern Puster Valley and the Dolomites to the provincial capital Bolzano, to Lake Caldaro, and the spa town of Merano. Besides nature and culture, you will immerse yourself in the tradition of viticulture and wine production that shape this rich region. A detour to Tramin, the home of the wine by the same name, is a must.
This cycling tour is suitable for everyone. In recent years, the cycling network in South Tyrol‘s valleys has been very well developed. Although South Tyrol is especially known for its unique mountain scenery, you will find many easy, flat valley bike paths without major climbs here. This tour is also suitable for families with children from 14 years old.
