Day 1: arrival in Sillian
Individual arrival at the hotel in Sillian.
Day 2: Sillian - Helm - Sesto
(ascent approx. 510 m, descent approx. 1.200 m / approx. 5 hours)
In the morning, you will be have a transfer to Vierschach. You take the cable car up to the well-known ski mountain ‚Helm‘ (ticket included). You hike along the Carnic High Trail, where you will repeatedly cross the border between Italy and Austria. From the Helm, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Sesto Dolomites. Several cozy mountain huts invite you to stop for a break on this route.
Day 3: Sesto circular tour Rotwandwiesen
(ascent approx. 730 m, descent approx. 710 m / approx. 6 hours)
The stage takes you along a very scenic high trail that follows old war paths. From the Kreuzberg Pass, you follow a pleasant hiking trail through forests and meadows back to Sesto. Along the way, you have a beautiful view of the Karnischen Kamm and to the north, the peaks of the Rieserferner group.
Day 4: Fishleintal – Three Peaks - Höhlensteintal
(ascent approx. 940 m, descent approx. 950 m / approx. 5,5 hours)
Starting from the Fischlein Valley, you hike below the Mount Paterno, which was fiercely contested during World War I (the legendary mountain guide Sepp Innerkofler lost his life here), heading towards the symbol of the Dolomites, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of the Three Peaks (Drei Zinnen) and the well-known Drei Zinnen Hut. Here begins the beautiful northern part of the hike, featuring the iconic view of the Three Peaks. From the Three Peaks, the route continues over the Rienzböden and the Rienztal to the Dreizinnenblick in the Höhlenstein Valley.
Day 5: Höhlensteintal – Plätzwiese - Braies
(ascent approx. 860 m, descent approx. 970 m / approx. 6-7 hours)
Along the Hell Valley, you hike uphill via an old World War I war path to Strudelkopf (Monte Specie) and then descend to the Plätzwiese. The route continues into the Braies Valley, your stage destination. Besides nature and tranquility, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Monte Cristallo, the Tofana, and the world-famous Three Peaks (Drei Zinnen). To reduce the descent elevation, you can shorten the route by taking the bus.
Day 6: Lake Braies round tour
(ascent approx. 450 m, descent approx. 450 m / approx. 5 hours)
The circular tour takes you to the idyllic Lake Braies, also known as the „Pearl of the Dolomite Lakes.“ The LAke Braies enchants its visitors, especially with its crystal-clear water. You will hike through the romantic area of the Fanes–Sennes–Prags Nature Park, which is one of the largest protected areas in South Tyrol.
Day 7: Altprags - Putzalm - Toblacher See
(ascent approx. 640 m, descent approx. 860 m / approx. 4,5-5 hours)
From Altprags, the hike leads through meadows and forests, surrounded by the fantastic backdrop of the Dolomites, up to the Putzalm. The small alpine hut offers a good place to rest and is known for its traditional dishes. You hike below the Suiskopf, where the descent to Toblacher See begins. You then leisurely walk to Toblach, from where you take the train to Sillian.

By car: via the Brenner motorway (A22) to Brixen – exit Franzensfeste, Pustertal – through the Pustertal (state road SS49) to Sillian, or via the Felbertauern road to Lienz in East Tyrol and then on to Sillian.

By plane: Low-cost flights to Treviso Airport or Venice Marco Polo Airport. Transfers from the airport to the starting point of the tour can be arranged upon request.
