Day 1: Arrival in Udine

Individual arrival in Udine. Once you’ve settled in, you can explore the city and enjoy a taj – a good glass of wine.

Day 2: Udine - Spilimbergo

(approx. 30 km)

After breakfast, you set off for Spilimbergo, the „City of Mosaics,“ home to the famous school where students from all over the world learn this ancient art. Along the way, you will encounter the Tagliamento River for the first time today — the most important river in Friuli. After crossing it, you continue cycling towards Lake Cornino. The lake is located in a nature reserve of the same name, where you can admire the impressive griffon vultures. From Lake Cornino, you reach the destination of today’s stage.

Day 3: Spilimbergo - Pordenone

(approx. 30 km)

Today, you leave the city of mosaics behind and cycle towards Pordenone. estled along the banks of the River Novello, Pordenone is renowned as the birthplace of Giovanni Antonio de Sacchis—better known as Il Pordenone—the celebrated Renaissance painter. With its charming historic center, lively cultural scene, and elegant architecture, the city offers a perfect blend of history and modernity. It has also been named the Italian Capital of Culture for the year 2027, promising a vibrant calendar of events and exhibitions that celebrate its artistic and cultural heritage.

Day 4: Pordenone - Marano Lagunare - Aquileia

(approx. 75 km + boat ride from Marano Lagunare)

You begin today‘s stage heading towards Marano Lagunare. You cycle south until you reach the Tagliamento, the most important river in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Once in Marano, you take a boat, and you cycle the final kilometers to Aquileia. A must-see is the Roman-origin basilica, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5: Aquileia - Sistiana

(approx. 30 km)

Today, you leave Aquileia and cycle along the lagoon toward the Julian coast. Passing through small villages, you reach the area of Monfalcone, continuing until you arrive in the small town of Sistiana. Along the way, we recommend a stop at the Isonzo River Nature Reserve.

Day 6: Sistiana: rest day or round tour to Trieste

(approx. 45 or 75 km for the longer option)

Sistiana is famous for its bay with beautiful pebble beaches. Today, you have two great options: spend a relaxing day in the sun or take a scenic bike ride to Trieste.
