On easy to moderately difficult trails, you hike from the historic episcopal town of Brixen into the impressive world of the Dolomites. Through quiet forests, wide alpine meadows and past the striking rock formations of the Sciliar, Sassolungo and Sella groups, a panorama full of colors and shapes unfolds step by step. Along the way, cozy mountain huts, regional specialties and the warm hospitality of South Tyrol await you. The route continues through the natural paradise of the Ampezzo Dolomites before you reach Cortina – the “Queen of the Dolomites.”
This tour follows well-maintained hiking trails, forest roads, and mountain paths. There are no climbing sections or particularly exposed areas. However, being free from vertigo is an advantage. If you‘re feeling unwell or the weather doesn‘t cooperate, it is usually possible to reach the next stage by public transport or taxi.
