In Italy you walk through a small part of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. No less impressive is the Slovenian part of the hiking tour.<\/p>\n
The start is in Villach. Here you can feel the near south. IThe Friuli-Venezia Giulia region is characterised by the Carnic mountain group of over 100 km in length, between the catchment areas of Drau, Gail and Tagliamento, and the Julian Alps, which are still the border between Slovenian and Friulan language area. A highlight of the tour is certainly the Italian pilgrimage town of Monte Lussari. The slovenian part leads to the Triglav National Park and the fashionable ski resort of Kranjska Gora – also known as the Kitzb\u00fchel of Slovenia.
