Munich – Alta Pusteria
From the banks of river Isar to the Dolomites
Starting in Munich, this cycle tour takes you across the Alps and through Germany, Austria and Italy. On the routes of the Bodensee-Königssee-Radweg, the Inn-Radweg, the Isar-Radweg and the cycle path Munich – Venice, the tour leads through the Bavarian lake landscape, passing some of the most famous lakes such as the Tegernsee or Schliersee.
After a long tour, the many lakes invite you to jump into the refreshing water. Bikers reach Innsbruck via Kufstein and the Tyrolean Inn valley. Passing the Brenner Pass you cross the border to Italy and cycle along the Pustertal to Villabassa/Dobbiaco.
The cycle tour from Munich to Villabassa/Dobbiaco is a very varied tour for active pleasure cyclers with basic condition. The route runs along asphalted cycle paths and low-traffic side roads (except in the high season of July/August). The section from Innsbruck to the Brenner can be bridged by train. The last section of the tour leads leisurely through the valley Pusteria.
